Learning Through Theatre

Believing theatre to be a dynamic vehicle for bringing history, literature and current events to life, the LEARNING THROUGH THEATRE SERIES meets the needs of both educators and students by deepening understanding and enhancing skill development.  FYT's professionally designed Educator's Guides contain pre and post performance classroom activities are are alinged with state curriculum standards.  Make sure your school is part of this unique educational opportunity.

 Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs School Bus Fast Grants

 The Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs announces the availability of School Bus Fast Grants- grants of up to $500 per K-12 school building for the documented transportation cost of a field trip to designated MCACA-affiliated arts and culture organizations. The deadline to apply is February 8, 2010. Application, guidelines and the list of organizations are on MCACA's website: www.themedc.org/arts, click on "Grant Program." TARGET STORE GRANTS
Beginning this August, Target will be accepting online grant applications from schools to cover field trip expenses during the upcoming 2009-2010 school year. Grants for up to $800 will be awarded and can be used to pay for theatre admission or busses. For more information or to enroll, visit Target's website.
