Just for Adults!

Do you have great memories of band or do you enjoy making music with others? Music ensembles provide a fun and challenging way to rehearse and perform great music together with other musicians. As part of an ensemble, you will meet weekly from mid-September through April.

A wide variety of opportunities exist including:

Jazz Combos
Where can you play combo arrangements of famous jazz tunes by Miles Davis and Horace Silver, transcribed directly from their original albums? With the FSPA’s Jazz Combo! Forming again after a short hiatus, the Jazz Combo offers a great way for anyone aged 14 to adult to play jazz and learn more about the art of improvisation. Jeff Price, who has taught saxophone for several years at the FSPA, will lead weekly sessions.

New Horizons Intermediate Band
Did you play in high school, but haven’t picked up your instrument much since then? This is the place for you. You’ll have the advantage of small group sectional rehearsals, as well as, band rehearsals. You do not have to audition to join! new-horizons-cello-player
